Pisila Matafahi Otunuku holds the post of Deputy CEO for Finance and is also the Head of Procurement. Prior to working with the Ministry of Finance, she was Deputy Director and Head of Finance at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Head of Finance for Westpac Tonga as well as Assistant Lecturer for the University of the South Pacific.
In her current role, she has been instrumental in driving the procurement reform agenda in process improvements, legislative review, capacity development as well as awareness programs.
Ms. Matafahi-‘Otunuku holds a Bachelor of Commerce(Hons) from the University of Wollongong, Australia and a Master of Commerce in Accounting with specialisation in professional accounting. She is accountant by profession and is a member of CPA Australia. She also has completed CIPS program with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
