Philipp Kalpaxis

Mr. Philipp Kalpaxis is a Principal Procurement Specialist at the Procurement, Portfolio, and Financial Management Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He leads initiatives to modernize procurement systems, enhance strategic sourcing, and strengthen supply chain resilience across ADB operations. With over two decades of experience in international development and procurement, Mr. Kalpaxis has provided advisory and operational support to governments across Asia and the Pacific, particularly in health sector procurement, emergency response, and capacity development. He played a key role in ADB’s COVID-19 response, supporting the timely and transparent procurement of medical countermeasures. Mr. Kalpaxis is committed to leveraging procurement as a strategic tool for accelerating development impact, innovation, and value-for-money outcomes.
