Pedro Almeida is an Urban Development Specialist in the South Asia Urban and Water division of the Asia Development Bank since 2018. With ADB, he has worked in Bangladesh with the Dhaka Water Supply & Sewerage Authority (DWASA), in Nepal with the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage, in Sri-Lanka with the Colombo Municipal Council, and is currently working with the National Water Supply and Drainage Board also in Sri Lanka. He is also working on an urban sector project in India. Before that, he worked both as an individual consultant in Kyrgyzstan and several other projects financed by the World Bank in Brazil. He also worked as a project manager for several infrastructure development projects in Brazil and early on his career as a contractor site manager both in Portugal and Mozambique.
