Dr. Nur Hazwani Abdul Bahar is currently the Head of Conservation Programmes at Forest House, a conservation-oriented landscaping company in Malaysia. She is responsible for developing Forest House conservation projects and strategies aimed at nurturing knowledge and the conservation of local forest trees. Previously, she worked at Nature-Based Solutions, where she conducted reviews of Environmental, Social, and Governance policies and practices of companies in Pahang. Her team’s efforts contributed to the recent gazettement of the 134,183-hectare Al-Sultan Abdullah
Royal Tiger Reserve.

Dr. Nur has actively engaged with indigenous communities in forest conservation, including pioneering the community forest nursery in Royal Belum State Park. With support from the Habitat Foundation, her team provides technical support, connects, and empowers the network of community forest nurseries in Peninsular Malaysia.

Dr. Nur received her doctorate in Plant Sciences from the Australian National University, Canberra.
