Normand Michaud

Over the last years, I've been active as an expert in the field of energy efficiency and I've designed and implemented many demand-side management (DSM) and energy performance contract (EPC) projects. Moreover, I've gained extensive experience in energy efficiency program evaluation thanks to my involvement in Hydro-Québec program evaluations over the past three years. I've also developed an expertise in the preparation of national policies, such as standards and labelling, energy service company (ESCO) support and DSM schemes, both in industrialized and developing countries.

International undertakings have brought me to Asia, Europe, South America and the Middle East for ventures led or financed by international institutions such as the African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank and the United Nations (UNDP, UNEP, UNIDO). Additionally, I worked in cooperation with bilateral and multilateral development organizations such as the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
