Nishant Bhardwaj

Nishant Bhardwaj is an energy adviser currently working with DFID and leading its energy strategy and program implementation in India. He has over 18 years of professional experience in energy infrastructure finance, power sector reforms, energy technologies, and green growth, working across the Asia Pacific region. His area of expertise is policy advisory, strategy and planning, and implementation of energy sector programs. He is currently the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for DFID’s energy sector programs. Prior to DFID, he has worked for ADB as the fund manager for its $152 million carbon fund and with USAID, where he led the clean energy infrastructure development in the Asia Pacific region. He has done his Masters in Energy and Environmental Management.
