Profile / Bio:
Nick is Co-Director of the Global Risk Modelling Alliance, and Coordinator of the Risk Modelling Steering Group of the Insurance Development Forum (IDF). These programmes accelerate use of risk insight in vulnerable economies, using open data and insurance principles to build resilience and unlock risk finance. He previously led the UK Met Office's programme supporting climate and disaster risk finance, following earlier careers in strategy and risk in the military and private sectors.
Nick is also Chair of the Board of Trustees of MapAction, the humanitarian geospatial charity, which supports NGOs and CSOs globally in anticipatory action and emergency response
