Nengshi Zheng

Nengshi Zheng is an independent consultant, a member of Hunan provincial sponge city professional committee and an expert in the municipal engineering expert pool of Changsha City, PRC. He graduated from Leibniz University Hannover, Germany, with a master’s degree in landscape and open-space planning. He has worked at the Atelier Dreiseitl (later as Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl) as water engineer and landscape architect on international interdisciplinary projects and later as branch manager of Wasser Hannover GmbH in China. Since 2019 he started working as independent consultant focusing on climate resilient watershed-based natural based solutions integrated with urban context and cooperating with international planning offices and organizations. His representative projects include Tianjin Cultural Park, PRC; Singapore Jurong Lake Park; Eco Quartier Pfaffenhofen, Germany; Sponge city projects in Changde, PRC; Sponge city Park Fengxinglong in Sanya, PRC; Guitang River ecological restoration, Changsha, PRC; Jilin Yanji Low-Carbon Climate-Resilient healthy city project, etc.
