Nazmun Nahar is an Energy Specialist in ADB’s South Asia Regional Department. She manages a portfolio comprising projects dealing with energy access, sustainability, climate resilient, and transition to a low-carbon future. Nazmun focuses on processing and administering energy and power sector projects in Bangladesh. Apart from processing investment projects, she provides procurement oversight to the executing and implementing agency, conducts project reviews, and ensures compliance with ADB’s Energy Policy and Procurement Regulations. She served as the focal for development coordination in Bangladesh and organizes the Local Consultative Group meetings- the LCG (Power and Energy).

Nazmun joined ADB in 2016. Before joining ADB, she worked in GiZ as Senior Advisor (Renewable Energy) in Sustainable Energy for Development project; and Project Manager in Rahimafrooz Renewable Energy Limited. Nazmun is from Bangladesh. She has a degree in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), she is an alumni of the International Visitor’s Leadership Program (IVLP), 2011.
