Nahin Ferdous is Senior Manager - Special Projects and oversees strategy development, programme designing (Disability Inclusive, Climate Resilient and Urban), and planning for Ultra-Poor Graduation Programme in Bangladesh. He also manages the implementation of the Climate Resilient Ultra-Poor Graduation programme in two City Corporations. In addition to regular responsibilities, Nahin also works as the Safeguarding Champion for the programme. He has almost a decade long work experience in multiple international development agencies namely BRAC, United Nations Foundation-Clean Cooking Alliance, Swisscontact-Katalyst, Swisscontact-M4C and Hunger-Free World. Nahin has designed several Market Systems Development projects in agriculture, service, and financial markets. He specializes in strategic business planning, market systems development, economic empowerment, and development communications. He also specializes in SME competitiveness, access to finance for SMEs and public-private partnership approaches using versatile instruments. Nahin had closely worked with several Ministries (Commerce, Power & Energy, and Health) of the Bangladesh government and led more than 5 bilateral government missions and 15 other missions with the private sector in Kenya, Ethiopia, Philippines, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal and India. Nahin has a degree in Environmental Management from North South University in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
