Programme Manager, Rain for Life Project, BRAC Profile / Bio Profile / Bio Muzammel is an accomplished climate change and development professional with over 15 years of progressive experience in Climate Change Policy, Adaptation Technologies, Nature-Based Solutions, and Early Warning Systems. Currently serving as Programme Manager for BRAC's Rain for Life project under the Climate Change Programme, he leads comprehensive implementation of climate-resilient programmes with particular expertise in climate adaptation, natural resource management, and sustainable development for vulnerable communities. His current role encompasses the Integrated Climate Change Programme (ICCP), where he collaborates on designing climate-resilient initiatives that drive integrated development. Previously, he strengthened marginalized communities through BRAC's Ultra Poor Graduation (UPG) Programme and Integrated Development Programme (IDP), focusing on integrated poverty reduction and climate action strategies. Muzammel's diverse experience includes serving as Bangladesh Implementation Consultant at the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), conducting climate risk assessments using methodologies from GIZ, World Bank, UNDP, and ADB. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Soil, Water, and Environment from the University of Dhaka, plus a second Master's in Development Studies, with research focused on climate change implications for food security in vulnerable Bangladeshi communities.
