Murti Utami

Murti Utami serves as Deputy Minister and Acting Director General at the Ministry of Health of Indonesia, where she leads strategic initiatives in public health governance, financing, and pandemic preparedness. With a background in dentistry and health administration, she has held multiple senior roles across Indonesia’s health sector, including as Secretary-General and Director General for Health Services. Drg. Utami played a pivotal role during Indonesia’s G20 Presidency, contributing to the establishment of the Pandemic Fund and championing regional health collaboration. Her leadership has focused on expanding access to primary care, strengthening health resilience, and promoting multilateral cooperation to enhance regional preparedness and response. She is recognized for advancing evidence-based policy and cross-sectoral innovation in health.
