Having graduated with an MBA degree from Punjab University, a premier state-run institution in Pakistan. He started his career as Assistant Director (F&A) with Bahawalpur Rural Development Project (Financed by Asian Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank and Govt. of the Punjab).

Currently, he is serving as a Senior Financial Control Officer in the Disbursement Unit at the Pakistan Resident Mission. His responsibilities include verifying vouchers in IDS related to withdrawal applications for the assigned loans ensuring that the Controller’s Department’s Service Level Standards are met, ensuring compliance with Asian Development Bank (ADB) disbursement policies and procedures relating to processing of WAs. He  also Provides initial and continued training and guidance to Executing Agencies (EAs) staff on ADB disbursement guidelines and procedures  related to  advance account operations and other disbursement matters, review of expenditures incurred and claimed by EAs under Statement of Expenditure (SOE) procedure on a sampling basis for ensuring compliance with all related ADB requirements, Advance Account Closure for loans due for closure, final advance account reconciliation and obtaining final refunds where necessary prior to loan account closing. Furthermore, he also reviews overall  internal control accounting system of EAs and record maintenance procedures.
