Monika Balicki

Monika has over 16 years’ professional experience acquired across the water, infrastructure, mining, and agricultural sectors with strong expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and numerical modelling studies, including 2D and 3D hydraulics and advection-dispersion processes. Monika has been involved in a wide range of water resource projects in Australia and overseas, including flood studies, groundwater and surface water interaction studies, morphological studies, and water quality modelling studies. Monika has also developed several tools to assist model development, result post-processing and transfer of data between different modelling platforms and regularly provided technical support and training to hydraulic modellers in Australia. 

Since joining WMS as a Director in 2015, Monika’s efficiency and attention to detail have seen her sought after as an expert witness. One example is to the Federal Court of Australia for Shine Lawyers regarding the assessment of surface water transport of PFAS from the Defence Base at Oakey in Queensland.
