Mircea Buga

Dr. Mircea Buga is a health financing expert with extensive leadership experience in health policy, health insurance, and public administration. He currently serves as an Integrated Expert in Health Financing at the State Health Insurance Fund of Uzbekistan. 

Over the course of his career, he has held senior positions including Minister of Health and Minister of Labour, Social Protection and Family of Moldova, Director General of the National Health Insurance Company (Moldova). He has also worked as an academic and international consultant, including for the World Health Organization, with a focus on health systems and health financing.

Dr. Buga holds degrees in medicine, law, health economics, business administration, and a PhD in Medicine.
