Hu Min is the China Advisor for Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program (K-CEP), a global philanthropic program supporting the global transition to clean and efficient cooling technologies in over 40 countries. She is also a senior fellow at Energy Innovation. Hu Min served the Energy Foundation China for over 12 years. She was the Program Director for the Low Carbon Economic Growth Program and the Environmental Management Program. Hu Min’s program and research focus on the People's Republic of China's climate policy, sustainable financing, carbon pricing, low carbon cities, as well as fossil fuel subsidies. Her work in past years has included helping to develop tools, guidelines, and evaluation indicators for low carbon cities, and promoting carbon price and market-based instruments in the People's Republic of China. She has published articles and co-edited books on low carbon cities and green finance.

Ms. Hu received her Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Renmin University, her Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Tsinghua University, and a Mid-Career MPA and Manson fellowship from the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2016, Hu Min was appointed as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Tsinghua Brookings Center.
