Michiaki Omura

Profile / Bio: 

Dr. Omura graduated from Ueda High School in Nagano Prefecture, Tohoku University, Faculty of Engineering (Major: Atomic Engineering), then Tohoku University, Graduate School of International Cultural Studies.  He joined Tohoku Engineer Science Co. Ltd. in 1998. In 1999, he became Graduate Assistant of Tohoku University, Graduate School of Agricultural Science, and has served as Associate Professor since 2006. He was appointed Executive Director of Higashimatsushima Organization for Progress and Economy, Education, Energy (HOPE) in 2012, and has served in that position up to the present date.  His research topic is LCA in agriculture. He is Vice Chair of Tohoku Smart Agriculture Research Group.
