Michael Walsh

Michael is a Senior Procurement Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila, where he is involved in the establishment, harmonization, and improvement of ADBs procurement policies and procedures, consistent with effective project management for ADB financed projects. He is also responsible for providing oversight, technical guidance, and capacity development to ensure compliance with these policies. Prior to joining ADB Michael was employed by the United Nations Secretariat for 6 years in various roles including Field Operations Manager and Chief Engineer. Prior to Michael’s work with multilateral organizations he spent 10 years in the private sector in Europe, Asia and the Middle East working in consulting engineering roles. He holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the National University of Ireland.
