Michael Rellosa

Michael Rellosa is the Executive Director of the Philippine Insurers and Reinsurers Association (PIRA, Inc.), a leading industry body representing the insurance and reinsurance sectors in the Philippines. In this role, he oversees strategic direction, industry engagement, and advocacy for member firms, helping shape best practices in risk management, regulatory collaboration, and sector development. He has served in the association’s leadership for many years, including as chairman before he was appointed executive director in 2018.

Before joining PIRA full‑time, Rellosa was President and Chief Operating Officer of Fortune General Insurance Corporation, and he remains active across regional industry bodies, having chaired the ASEAN Insurance Council and been elected president of the East Asian Insurance Council. He also lectures at the Insurance Institute for Asia and the Pacific and contributes thought leadership on insurance, risk management, and industry trends.
