Melisa Apriyani is a passionate educator and grassroots development strategist with over a decade of experience across diverse regions, sharpening her understanding of sustainable development, capacity building, and women-led solutions. As Indonesia’s Program Manager at Women’s Earth Alliance (WEA), Melisa currently supports seven grassroots partner organizations and 94 women leaders across 28 provinces in Indonesia, helping them expand their work in conservation, eco-entrepreneurship, and climate resilience. Through close mentorship and partnership, she ensures that these leaders and organizations have the tools, resources, and networks they need to deepen their impact.

Melisa assists grassroots women leaders to build a supportive system designed to turn environmental challenges into economic opportunities. It includes comprehensive training, mentorship, and toolkits to promote sustainable business practices; funding and investment readiness to scale women-led climate solutions; participatory impact tracking for data-driven growth; marketplace access; and local-to-global networks that ensure long-term success. Melisa believes that when women are equipped with knowledge, support, and opportunity, they become powerful movers of environmental and economic transformation in their communities and beyond.
