Matthew Viner helps lead operations, strategy, and investment processes for the ADB Frontier Fund, ADB’s platform for mobilizing private capital into frontier markets across Asia and the Pacific. Prior to joining ADB, Matt launched and managed Myanmar's first venture capital fund, co-founded the Myanmar Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, and developed a regional accelerator program across the Mekong region. He also launched a pay-as-you-go solar fintech business in Cambodia and spent several years advising companies on market entry and exit across Cambodia, Myanmar, and Laos. He has over a decade of experience in impact investing and private sector development, with a focus on innovative financing structures for underserved markets. Matt's first posting with ADB was the scoping, design, and establishment of ADB Frontier Pacific, where he developed a particular focus on blue economy enterprises and the investment pathways needed to support sustainable ocean-linked livelihoods across the Pacific. He continues to support the design of new partner initiatives and financial products at Frontier.
