Mashiur Rahman possesses nineteen years of experience in telecommunication, power and energy and development sectors in Bangladesh. He started his career as System Engineer (Telecommunication) at ZTE Corporation in 2005. Later he joined Banglalink as Operation and Maintenance Engineer and gathered experience on telecommunication and power system. He moved to development sector in 2015 and joined GIZ Bangladesh as Senior Advisor in Sustainable Energy Development Program to support government for renewable energy dissemination and energy efficiency improvement. He joined ADB, BRM in 2018 and is presently serving ADB as Associate Project Officer (Energy), supporting the energy portfolio of BRM.
Mr. Mashiur acquired diversified experiences in power and energy sector, project management and development landscape. His expertise includes project management in power generation, transmission and distribution, renewable energy and energy efficiency areas. He has also experience in gas transmission and distribution network strengthening project management.
Mr. Mashiur is a graduate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and an MBA with major in finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), of Dhaka University. He also obtained the degree of Master of Development Studies (MDS) from Dhaka University.
