Martin Heger

Martin P. Heger is a Senior Environmental Economist at the World Bank, where he leads air quality management initiatives across South Asia, including the regional Indo-Gangetic Plains and Himalayan Foothills program and a major air pollution project in Nepal. He previously worked in the Middle East and North Africa region, focusing on pollution abatement and environmental policy reform. His work centers on the design of pollution reduction strategies, the economics of air pollution, and environmental policy. Martin has published in leading academic journals and holds a PhD in environmental economics from the London School of Economics.
