Mark Ohman is a Professor in the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego. His educational pursuits culminated in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Oceanography from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, where he honed his expertise in the intricate workings of the ocean's ecosystems. 

Since 1985, Mark Ohman has been a dedicated professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, where he has made substantial contributions to the field of Biological Oceanography.
