Profile / Bio: 

Mr. Liping Zheng was the Advisor of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) South Asia Department. Mr. Zheng oversees the Climate Change operations of seven sector divisions and six country offices in South Asia regions. The six countries include Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. Mr. Zheng joined ADB in 2008 and has since occupied progressively responsible positions. Early in his ADB career, he was assigned to project operations in Central West Asia covering the urban sector. Mr. Zheng is a national of China. He holds a doctorate's degree in Economics from Nankai University. He earned his master's degree in public administration from Harvard University and Business Management from Sun Ye-Sen University. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Engineering from the South China University of Polytechnic China.

He left ADB in March 2022.
