Kidong Park

Kidong Park is a senior public health expert currently serving as Director of Programme Management at the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Western Pacific (WPRO) in Manila, Philippines. He has held several leadership roles within WHO, including Director of Data, Strategy and Innovation, and head of the Country Support Unit for the Western Pacific Region. Dr. Park joined WHO in 2006 through the Global Influenza Programme at WHO headquarters in Geneva and later worked extensively on pandemic preparedness, communicable disease control, health systems strengthening, and regional cooperation. He also served as WHO Representative in Viet Nam and has contributed to regional strategic planning and WHO country cooperation strategies across the Western Pacific. 

He holds medical and public health qualifications from Seoul National University and has more than two decades of experience in global health policy, programme management, and emergency preparedness.
