Senior Research Fellow, ACAP Profile / Bio Ken Yamashita is a Senior Research Fellow at the Asia Center for Air Pollution Research (ACAP). Since the early establishment of EANET, he has been involved in training programs and national monitoring support, with more than 26 years of experience in regional environmental initiatives across Asia. He has conducted research on cost-effective air pollution control and health risk assessment related to NOx, ozone, and PM2.5, drawing on integrated assessment models such as RAINS/GAINS. In addition, he brings over a decade of broad experience in environmental administration at the local government level in Niigata Prefecture, contributing to policy planning and implementation. He has also worked on survey analysis and emission inventory guideline development.
