Kazuhiko Seriu has extensive experience in regional environmental governance, particularly in North-East Asia. While at the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), he coordinates activities under NEASPEC, including the development of a subregional project on the impacts on key flagship migratory bird species in the region. Kazu previously served as Japan’s focal point for CITES and Ramsar during his tenure at the Permanent Mission of Japan in Geneva and holds Master’s degrees in International Relations and International Law.
