Appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Lands, Physical Planning and Urbanization on 24/08/2022 following formation of the Marape-Rosso cabinet, a shuffle in the cabinet on the 19/01/2024 an added portfolio as Minister Immigration 2nd term in this Parliament.
