John Phillip Sevilla

Mr. John Phillip Sevilla, or “Sunny”, is a Senior Markets Development Advisory Specialist for the Office of Markets Development and Public-Private Partnerships in the Asian Development Bank. He previously served as Consultant to the Philippine Department of Transportation and Communications from 2015-2016, Commissioner of Customs from 2013-2015, and Undersecretary for Privatization of the Department of Finance, from 2010-2013 and 2006 to 2007, and served as the Executive Director of the Asian Special Situations Group, Goldman Sachs (Asia) from 2000 to 2004. From 1998 to 2000, he was the Vice President for Fixed Income Credit Research, Salomon Smith Barney Hong Kong. Mr. Sevilla finished his Graduate studies from Princeton University, in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs Master of Public Affairs, and took his Undergraduate studies in Cornell University, Bachelor of Arts, major in Government and Economics.
