Currently, He is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Section for Vocational Teacher Education, School Development, and Educational Leadership in the Department of Teacher Education of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. Before his current position, he was working as a Lecturer at the Department of Vocational Education and Training at Osnabrück University, Germany. His research focus lies in international and international comparative research in vocational education and training (VET). He is particularly interested in (1) the comparison and description of VET systems, (2) the impact of international organizations and discourses on the development of national VET policies and VET systems around the world, (3) the further development of VET theory and its exploratory and normative dimension.
