Profile / Bio: 

Jelson has over twenty years of strategic management of complex programs, international policy advocacy, and campaign strategy around development finance and resource governance in the Asia Pacific region with attention to environmental and social safeguards, accountability, financial integrity, and stakeholder engagement. Most recently, he was engaged with UN's High-Level Panel on Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity (FACTI) and the Asian Development Bank's ongoing stakeholder engagement to review and strengthen its safeguard policy and implementation framework.

He worked as the Asia Pacific Director for Natural Resource Governance Institute and Asia Program Director for Bank Information Center. 

Leadership strengths and expertise: building and strengthening government partnerships; engaging the multilateral development banks (MDBs) private sector, civil society and affected communities; complex, multi-country and cross-functional program management; people management: convening and capacity building: research and policy management; interpersonal, fundraising and communication skills: in-depth experience in the use and monitoring of international environmental and social safeguards standards, accountability mechanisms and resource governance diagnostics frameworks.
