Jason Whaanga

Jason Whaanga is the General Manager of DSH Systems, a global leader in passive dust-control loading systems for bulk-material handling. With a career spanning technical, sales, and leadership roles across the electrical, renewable energy, and gas industries, Jason brings extensive experience in industrial operations and environmental solutions.

Jason’s connection to ports began early, growing up in Bluff, just 300 metres from New Zealand’s southernmost deepwater port. He completed an electrical apprenticeship working across port facilities, fuel depots, fishing vessels, processing plants, power networks, and ship repairs. This hands-on foundation has shaped his practical approach to solving operational and environmental challenges in bulk handling environments. 

Today, Jason works with ports and terminals globally to implement effective dust control solutions, helping operators reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and strengthen environmental performance.
