Janyna Rhor is the Principal Procurement Specialist in ADB’s Procurement Division 1 where she supports the procurement portfolio of Bangladesh in the ADB Resident Mission in Dhaka. Prior to this post, she worked in ADB’s regional departments for East Asia, South East Asia, and the Pacific. She has been working in procurement in Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia for close to 30 years. She was a senior procurement specialist in the World Bank country offices in India and Pakistan. She served as a procurement officer in the UN Development Program country offices of Ecuador, Afghanistan, East Jerusalem, and Iraq. She has a degree in sociology from the Catholic University of Ecuador, a post graduate degree in the management of hospitals from the San Francisco de Quito University, and a master of laws in public procurement from the University of Nottingham UK.
