Profile / Bio: 

Janis is a health impact assessment (HIA) and community health and safety practitioner and researcher. She has over a decade of global experience with international finance institutions, private sector clients, governments and communities. For the last five years, Janis has been dedicated to HIA and community health and safety practice in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) with direct project experience in Viet Nam, Thailand, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Myanmar and the People’s Republic of China. Most recently, Janis, with her Asian Development Bank colleagues, led the development of an innovative HIA framework to manage worker and community health and safety risks in economic zones and border areas within the GMS.
