Profile / Bio

Jaimes Kolantharaj is a Principal Energy Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), outposted in India Resident Mission as the country focal for energy sector operations, while also supporting operations in the Maldives and Sri Lanka. He brings extensive experience in project processing and implementation, managing a diverse portfolio of energy sector initiatives across South Asia. His work spans multiple subsectors, including renewable energy, conventional generation, power transmission, distribution, and digitalization.

Prior to joining ADB, Jaimes worked as a Project Manager with Singapore Power Grid (SPPG), where he was responsible for the planning, design, and execution of transmission and distribution infrastructure projects. His professional experience spans multiple regions, including Europe, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.

Jaimes holds a master’s degree in Power Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Madras, India.
