Ian Wood has over 30 years of professional experience in climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, integrated water resource management (IWRM), integrated flood risk management (IFRM), drainage design and flood modeling. He has worked extensively in Vietnam and Cambodia as a team leader and technical specialist to international development projects and programs for Enabel (Belgian Development Agency, previously BTC), ADB, USAID, Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Danida, World Bank, and DFAT Australian Aid (previously AusAID). Prior to that, he has worked about 20 years in engineering consulting in Australia with specialist expertise in flooding, drainage, stormwater management. irrigation and water resource management as well as general management experience including business development.
