Huaqing Xu

Huaqing Xu is researcher and director of the National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation, the main author of the third IPCC assessment report, was awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize as the editor of the fourth IPCC evaluation report. He has presided over the research projects of "China's national climate change research plan" and the national key basic research development plan of the Ministry of science and technology, "Objective, implementation path and supporting system of China's greenhouse gas control in 2020" (chief scientist). He wrote "China energy and environment development report," "China greenhouse gas inventory research," "mitigation of climate change: principles, objectives, actions, and countermeasures," among others.
