Helen has been working on issues related to biodiversity conservation and indigenous peoples/local communities for over twenty-five years. In the past she has worked both as an academic and the NGO sector. Currently her work is principally in three areas: biodiversity conservation and local communities; social and environmental standards for responsible palm oil production; and conservation social science methods.
