Hayley is Associate Director in Arup’s International Development Business and Education Business Leader for the UKIMEA region at Arup. She is a chartered civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience specializing in implementing resilient, inclusive, sustainable, and appropriate social infrastructure.
Her experience includes supporting development clients across Asia, Africa, Europe, and South America to implement safer, appropriate, climate-resilient social infrastructure facilities. Her work includes leading large social infrastructure programs, including the Peru Reconstruction with Changes Schools program following the 2017 El Niño event; the UK's Nepal Safer Schools Program; and research related to flood resilience Housing in Pakistan following the 2010-2012 floods.
