Hasan Aliyev

Hasan Aliyev is Head of Trade Policy Division, Trade and Foreign Investment Policy Department, Ministry of Economy of Azerbaija. He joined the Ministry of Economy in 2019 as an Advisor of Trade Policy Division, became a Senior Advisor in 2022, and have led the Division since 2024. He holds a degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London. His work mainly focuses on trade policy analysis, trade agreement negotiations and optimizing tariffs to enhance the competitiveness of domestic enterprises, and regional economic cooperation. Mr. Aliyev has been engaged in trade statistics, MSME development, and regional economic cooperation.
