Over a period of 30+ years, he has dealt with all aspects of shipping and maritime trade, and served as head of the firm's commodities team between 2009-2024. He has been inducted into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, and has been consistently recognised by the legal directories as a leading professional in his area of expertise. He is also a leading expert in the legal and contractual aspects of maritime decarbonisation. He is Chair of the International Working Group of the Comité Maritime International, co-ordinator of the Blue Visby Consortium, legal advisor to the Sea Cargo Charter, and acts for companies from across the spectrum of the maritime supply chain, as well as organisations and institutions.
