Consultant, Nature Credits and Project Development, ADB Profile / Bio Guy Williams is an ecologist and nature finance specialist with more than 25 years of experience in biodiversity conservation and sustainable finance. He has advised governments, multilateral development banks, financial institutions, and businesses on translating nature-related ambitions into practical policy, investment, and financing solutions. He has also contributed to the development of major international frameworks, including the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), Science Based Targets Network (SBTN), and GRI Biodiversity Standards. Guy is a Friend of the International Advisory Panel on Biodiversity Credits (IAPB) and is currently supporting IAPB on an innovative approach to quantifying the potential nature credit market in Indonesia, as well as providing broader support across the Asia-Pacific region. He is also the lead author of the Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) Nature Credit Policy Brief. As an ADB consultant, Guy provides technical support to the Regional Flyway Initiative (RFI) Nature Credit Study, which explores opportunities to mobilize finance for critical wetland and migratory bird habitats across Asia. He also supports the development and piloting of nature credits in the Chishui River Basin in the People’s Republic of China.
