Giulia Cappellazzi

Giulia Cappellazzi is the Global Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Technical Lead Advisor at People in Need, where she supports country teams and civil society partners to embed GESI considerations into climate resilience, inclusive governance, and emergency response programming. Her work ensures that interventions strengthen the rights, representation, and voice of women, indigenous peoples, and other marginalised groups in decision-making processes. 

With over a decade of experience across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe, Giulia has advanced GESI integration in climate change, disaster risk reduction, natural resource management, and community safety. She provides expertise in developing inclusive strategies that strengthen underrepresented voices, shaping programs that are socially just, gender-responsive, and accountable.
