Gerald Zackios

Hon. Gerald M. Zackios is the current Minister of Education, Sports and Training and Senator representing Arno Atoll, Serving concurrently as a Chairman of the Nitijela Public Accounts Committee. He previously served as the Republic of the Marshall Islands Ambassador to the United States (2016-2023) and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2001-2007). With over three decades of distinguished public service, including roles as Attorney General and Regional Director of the Pacific Community, he has led high-level negotiations such as the Compact of Fre Association review. Minister Zackios remains deeply engaged in advancing regional cooperation, education, and sustainable development.
