Gay Ordenes

Marie Gay Alessandra V. Ordenes is currently the Asia Director and the Anti-Corruption lead at the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Secretariat. She leads the EITI’s work on beneficial ownership and contract transparency, as well as provides strategic direction for implementing the EITI global standard for transparency and accountability in extractive sectors in Southeast Asia and the Pacific, Eurasia and Middle East. Gay is also a member of EITI’s senior management team. Prior to her current position, Gay worked for the Philippine government in various positions in the executive branch and the judiciary as a lawyer. Her expertise includes legal research, public policy and anti-corruption.
