Gareth Tan

Gareth Tan is Partnerships Lead for the Asia-Pacific region at the Digital Prosperity for Asia (DPA) Coalition, which aims to promote greater awareness of digital regulations among Asia’s small businesses and startups and provide a platform for them to engage with governments. Gareth is also a Senior Associate Director at APCO Worldwide’s Singapore office, where he leads its technology practice and advises clients on technology policy issues. In his past lives, Gareth advised on technology policy at Access Partnership. It led international research and engagement programs focusing on Myanmar and Thailand at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs. Gareth is a prolific contributor to commentary sections in local and regional publications like the Straits Times, Channel NewsAsia, and TODAY Online, where he writes on technology and society.
