Gardenia Aisek

Gardenia Aisek serves as the Secretary of Education for the Federated States of Micronesia, first appointed in 2021 and reappointed in 2024. As the first woman to hold this position, she leads national education policy with a focus on unity and inclusivity. Her previous roles include Senator in the Chuuk State Legislature, Director of Education for the Chuuk State School System, and instructor at the College of Micronesia-FSM and Northern Marianas College. She has served on the COM-FSM Board of Regents and the Chuuk Board of Education. Secretary Aisek holds a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science.
