Transport Specialist, ADB Profile / Bio Profile / Bio Before her current role at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Faela Sufa served as the Director of the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP) Southeast Asia, where she provided technical assistance on implementing sustainable urban mobility in approximately ten countries and over 15 cities. Her primary focus was on promoting public transport innovations, including financing mechanisms, electrification of transportation modes, non-motorized transportation, transportation demand management, and public transport policies. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing multi-year projects from international donors and building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including governments, private sectors, development banks, global financial institutions, and United Nations development agencies. Furthermore, she worked in transport planning and modelling at an international transport consultancy firm in the Birmingham office of Mott MacDonald (UK). During her tenure, she developed expertise in highway and public transport modelling and demand forecasting.
