
Eric Shumway, Senior Director at Delphos, has over 25 years of power markets experience in over 20 countries. Since joining Delphos in 2015, work has included leading a $1.5 million set of IPP feasibility studies in Myanmar for the US Trade Development Agency; and, for the World Bank, leading a team with Norton Rose Fulbright that recommended a planning and procurement framework for IPPs in Ghana; as well as advising on options for restructuring the Saudi Arabian electric power industry. In Papua New Guinea, Eric has been Senior Financing Analyst since 2021 for USAID-PEP (currently “paused” but not officially cancelled), working extensively with PPL, including on improving its corporate financial model. He is currently supporting the Asian Development Bank on creating a financing framework for the ASEAN Power Grid. Before Delphos, Eric was Director at London Economics International, which specializes in power market design, production cost modelling, power project development and expert advisory to project lenders.
